An eSIM is a SIM card — without the plastic
An eSIM is a SIM built into supported phones. Instead of a plastic card, your phone downloads a carrier profile. You add a travel data plan and select it in Settings — your everyday number can stay on for calls and SMS.

How is it different from just roaming?
Roaming turns on when you land and bills through your home carrier. A travel eSIM is prepaid: you see data, validity, networks and fair use on the plan card before checkout.

Will it work on your phone?
Check the exact model, sales region and carrier lock. Device marketing names alone are not enough — eSIM support can vary by market.
Common compatible lines: iPhone XS and newer · Samsung Galaxy S20+ · Google Pixel 3+ · many recent OnePlus / Xiaomi / Motorola flagships. Confirm on compatible phones and dial *#06# for an EID.
The bits that throw people
Is an eSIM safer than a regular SIM?
Equally safe in transit. Profiles are encrypted; there is no plastic card to steal or swap. Still protect your phone with a passcode.
Can I use multiple eSIMs at once?
Many phones store several profiles; how many stay active together depends on the model. Check the manufacturer spec.
Does it use the same network as locals?
A travel eSIM attaches to networks listed on that plan. Speed depends on package, congestion, device and where you stand.
How do I set it up?
Buy a plan, open the QR or SM-DP+ details in My eSIMs. iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM. Android: Settings → Network → SIMs → Add eSIM. Full steps: how to install.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. SecretESIM is data-only. Keep the home line for calls and SMS; set SecretESIM as the mobile-data line.
Does an eSIM work in every country?
Only where the plan lists coverage. Confirm every stop, networks and notes on the destination page before you pay — start at coverage.
What if I run out of data?
Data from that allowance stops when it is used. Open Top up / My eSIMs for eligible add-ons when the provider allows the same ICCID.
